The first season, is called American Horror Story: Murder House, where it takes place in 2011 and follows the story of a family that moves into a home haunted by its former occupants. The second season; titled American Horror Story: Asylum where it takes place in 1964 and follows the stories of the inhabitants of an institution for the criminally insane. And the third season is called American Horror Story: Coven, and that takes place in the 1800s and present day and it follows the battle between witches and voodoo practitioners.
Many of the same actors and actresses are in each of the season of AHS, but they of course aren't the same people because they are different series and different time settings. I have so far enjoyed watching the third season of AHS because it keeps me on my feet. It can be gruesome in some of the parts of the episode, but, I still like it.
I was so hyped up for the this season, I like this show far more than I really should be willing to admit. Frankly, the premise behind this season is a bit iffy for me, I've always like a bit of plausibility in my horror and witches really cast that aside. Nevertheless, the fact that this show uses the same actors portrayed in completely different ways each season is what keeps me hooked, I love that and I'm looking forward to seeing where this season takes me.
ReplyDeleteYes, I totally know what you mean! The whole same actor but a new season gets me every time.
DeleteOH MAN! I love American Horror Story! I just watched the first season on DVD with my boyfriend. At first I was super incredulous about it, but the more I watched it the more I became addicted. It's very different from a lot of television shows out there. Like, in a ridiculous and weird way. All of television nowadays is so stale and boring, this show really brings entertainment to the edge of acceptability... and then nosedives off the cliff of decency headlong into an ocean of depravity.
