Michelle Phan, a make up guru on youtube did make-up tutorials as a hobby. She turned to make-up as a hobby because she said "having make-up on made her feel like she could be anyone". Michelle eventually became the most popular make-up artist on youtube inspiring many people all around the world. In 2010 she eventually joined Lancome team and became Lacome's first ever video make-up artist after they reached out to her.


Through making make-up tutorial videos on youtube, Michelle gained over 750,000 subscibers and having over than a million views, Michelle Phan became a millionaire all through youtube tutorials, and getting noticed. Recently on August 15, 2013 Michelle Phan launched her very own make-up line called "em michelle phan". Here is a video behind the explanation of what "em" means : What is em?
